Mine began on a tiny Indonesian island during one of the most uncertain times in recent history.

Stranded on Gili Trawangan after leaving my branded content editor role in London, I faced a choice: return to the UK for stability or finally take the leap into freelancing - something I’d dreamed of for years.

I took the leap.

But like many freelancers, my early days were rocky. My first client paid just $0.06 per word.

I struggled to assert my worth, agreed to unreasonable terms, and second-guessed my skills.

I knew how to write, but I lacked the confidence to stand firm, the strategy to market myself effectively, and the belief that I deserved better.

I now empower female freelancers to achieve the confidence, financial freedom, and flexibility they need to thrive. My coaching bridges the gender confidence gap in the freelance industry—a gap that sees women often undervaluing their work and undercutting their potential.

Research highlights this gap: a LinkedIn study found women are 20% less likely than men to apply for roles where they don't meet every qualification.

In freelancing, this plays out as women accepting lower rates or hesitating to pitch for high-profile projects. My mission is to change that narrative, helping women step into their worth with clarity, strategy, and self-assurance.

Before I stepped into coaching, my career was wholly writing focused. I started out as a news & features journalist at prominent outlets like Yahoo and HuffPost, before transitioning into copywriting and working as a Branded Content Editor at Secret London, part of the Secret Media Network.

Nowadays, as a freelance writer, I work with brands including Tripadvisor, Marriot Hotels, ELLE, Cosmo, Evening Standard, The Guardian and lots of others. I primarily write about travel although sometimes also cover topics about my experiences as a remote-first business owner.
